About SetpointHQ

Twenty years inside recruitment marketing. Three product families built on the discipline.

SetpointHQ is a recruitment marketing specialist, not a marketing agency that does recruitment work. The difference shows up in everything we build.

01 · The story

Why SetpointHQ exists.

The patterns that break candidate acquisition repeat across sectors. Healthcare, social care, logistics, light industrial: the same channel-mix mistakes, the same employer-brand thinness, the same ATS gaps surfacing the wrong bottlenecks.

Twenty years inside that discipline made one thing clear: the tools available to in-house practitioners didn’t match the complexity of the job, and the agencies offering to help were marketing generalists running recruitment as a sub-discipline.

SetpointHQ exists to close that gap. Three product families address it at three engagement shapes: tools for the people doing the work, consulting for the teams building the function, and AI visibility audits for the brands whose human-era reputation hasn’t caught up to the AI-era one.

Andy Pirie.

SetpointHQ is led by Andy Pirie. Twenty years inside recruitment marketing, in-house and agency, across healthcare, social care, logistics, retail and light industrial.

At a national healthcare provider, rebuilt the recruitment marketing operation from the ground up: application volume grew 107% in twelve months with no increase in media spend, and the organisation grew from £130m to £290m over the same period.

At a market-leading health and social care agency, built the first dedicated talent attraction function from scratch, supporting growth from £12m to £100m+ over twelve years and launching multiple sector-leading employer brands.

Now translating that into SetpointHQ’s tools, services and AI visibility audits.

03 · What we are and aren’t

What we are. And what we’re not.

✓ Yes

Recruitment marketing specialists

The specialism is the whole company. Twenty years of operating inside it. Methodology shaped by the work, not by the agency template.

✗ No

Not a generalist marketing agency

We are not a marketing agency that works on recruitment briefs. The buyers we serve recognise the difference within five minutes of a discovery call.

▮ Three scales

Self-serve · Consulting · Retained audit

Recruitment businesses need different things at different points. The portfolio is the answer: not one engagement, but three engagement shapes.

04 · The three families

Studio gives you the tools. Services gives you the function. Pro gives you the visibility.

One source of expertise, three doors. Each family stands on its own, and connects naturally to the others when scope dictates.

06 · Both sides

In-house and agency. Most advisors have only worked one side.

SetpointHQ’s work is grounded in having operated both, at scale, in candidate-short markets. That dual-side experience changes what we recommend, and what we refuse to recommend.

✓ In-house experience

  • Owned a £100m+ EVP rollout end-to-end
  • Rebuilt a national recruitment marketing operation
  • Reported to CEO; sat in the budget meetings that mattered
  • Built the first dedicated TA function at a £12m to £100m+ business

+ Agency experience

  • Multi-sector accounts: healthcare, social care, logistics, retail
  • Pitched, sold and delivered across the full lifecycle
  • Saw the patterns that repeat across categories
  • Watched generalist agencies fail at recruitment briefs: learned why

Whichever door fits the problem in front of you, we’d rather have a sharp discovery call than a generic demo.
